Introduccion

Who the hell am I to start a blog?

I am a Wisconsinite.

I am 22 years old.

I am a college graduate.

I am working at my first real full-time job.

I am doing something that I actually enjoy (for the most part).

I have no mental/physical illnesses, vendettas, children out of wedlock, sob stories, or STIs.

I'm just a girl in the world.

I am writing for a couple of different reasons. 1 is for practice. This is kind of a trial blog to see how things work before I actually set one up for the organization that I work for.
The other is because I'm curious. I want to see what it takes to make a blog that others will read, without showing boobies or offering a billion secrets to success.
I am also writing because I hope to be a resource for some of those out there. Many of the blogs I see are advice inspirational stories on how the average reader can become an excellent leader, career maven, video game hero, or societal patron - just like the blogger. Or they're rants.

I'm no an expert on anything really. I'd like to be an expert on everything though, 'cause that would be cool. Think of it, you're out with folks on the town and you meet new people and start talking about a random topic and you say "Oh yeah, I know all about that because I know everything" and they couldn't fight you because it would be true.

Okay, I now have a purpose for the blog. I will become a semi-expert in just about everything possible. Money management, careers, public policy, sewing, fashion, pirates, dinosaurs, Karl Rove, grass, coffee, eating, kvetching, stream-of-thought writing and drinking are things I already do well, so I can start with those. If anyone actually reads this and comes up with something else for me to become an expert on, I will take the challenge.

Bam. My purpose in life has been found.
