This has been the looongest four-day week ever. I was busy, productive, resourceful and managed my time well. Boo-yea to living the type-A personality high-life!
Damn I feel like such a nerd typing that. Worse, today was the easily the best day of the week because I had an awesome budget meeting with my boss and two board members. And yes, that last sentence increased my nerddom tenfold.
I'm crazy busy right now, which is how I usually like to live life, and I'm actually learning and enjoying everything that I'm doing. But the awesome thing is that for the first time in a long time (like 6 months) I don't feel over-stretched. I'm not sure what brought about this change; I'm still busy with work, volunteering, training, rugby, and relationship-building but I don't feel like a madwoman while doing it all.
My friend and former co-worker always said that if you want something done, give it to a busy person. I don't know if I technically qualify as a busy person, since I know peeps who are way more committed than me to many more responsibilities, but I'm liking where this is going.
